As defined in the Ordinance, the purpose of Lynn's Zoning Ordinance Plan is to promote the health, safety, morals, convenience and general welfare of its inhabitants, to lessen the danger from fire, congestion and confusion, and to improve and beautify the City pursuant to the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws. The Ordinance specifies the regulations regarding the use, height, area, construction, repair and alteration of buildings or structures and the use of premises in the City of Lynn.
